Spent an enjoyable couple of hours perched on top of a turret (actually, to be exact…an 1858 coursed squared sandstone retaining wall with ashlar parapets) overlooking the spectacular views of Durham City. The main reason for my visit? Well, that was to immerse myself in the City’s captivating annual Lumiere light festival. There were plenty of exhibits to catch the eye…one exhibit that certainly did catch my eye was the captivating light projections being thrown against the North side of the Cathedral.
